Born in Santiago, Chile, in 1976, Paz has cultivated a rich and diverse career in lighting design and environmental aesthetics. Her journey began with a degree in Environmental Design from Duoc University Católica in Santiago, Chile, and evolved into a global pursuit of expertise, blending technical knowledge, artistic vision, and sustainable innovation.

Professional Journey

After completing her studies, Paz honed her skills at Dilampsa in Chile, specializing in lighting for highways, toll areas, and sports facilities. In 2002, she moved to Spain to further her education and career, marking the beginning of a journey that combined hands-on design with deep industry insight.

2003, Joined Lamp Headquarters in Barcelona, where she worked closely with the Cusidó family. Here, Paz gained a comprehensive understanding of the lighting design process—from R&D to manufacturing—while contributing to hospitality and distribution projects.

2004, Worked with Cristher, Dopo, and Grupo Novolux, gaining expertise in outdoor and indoor lighting systems by collaborating with Italian and German brands such as Ares (Floss), Fumagalli, Ivela, Arealite, Boluce, Mizar, Framon, Invernizzi, Ghidini, Augenti, Landa, Framon, one 4 all, Tector, LT-light, Techno, Cabelli, Inverlight, Elcom, Spittler, Norlight (Castaldi), Pelucchi, C Luce, Tal lighting, Lucifero, Monnalisa, ElshineS.R.L, Traxon and i-led and Lutron.. Visiting manufacturers in Italy enriched her knowledge of materials and production.

2008, Joined Switch Made, a French pioneer in LED technology. This role allowed her to collaborate across teams in Barcelona, Madrid, and France, and manage large-scale projects alongside development teams.

Entrepreneurial Spirit

In 2013, Paz founded PCLD Lighting Lovers in Barcelona, Spain—a company born out of her passion for lighting design and sustainability. Her work seeks to merge innovative lighting solutions with environmental consciousness, inspiring a new approach to urban and architectural lighting.

Global Footprint

In 2014, Paz relocated to Dubai, UAE, to expand her horizons, working on projects driven by passion and purpose.

Now, in 2024, Paz is based in Dubai’s d3 Design District, bringing renewed energy and vision to her craft. She is dedicated to teaching and showcasing a transformative approach to lighting one that balances design, technology, and environmental stewardship.

Paz’s philosophy remains rooted in the belief that lighting is not merely functional but a profound element of human experience, capable of shaping spaces, emotions, and ecological harmony.
